Children & Family Ministries
Here at St. Giles, we believe that our children are an important part of our church family and distinct people who need to grow in God's grace, to love and be loved, to be nurtured and taught well. Bring your children along and let us welcome them into what God is doing with St. Giles kids!
Little Ones (Birth - preschool age)
We provide nursery care for your littlest babies through 4 years of age in our bright and spacious Rainbow Room, located in the Church House basement. Bring them on Sundays while you attend worship and our adult life groups, knowing they will be well cared for by our wonderful nursery caregivers! Age-appropriate lessons and worship are woven into the morning, with lots of time to explore and play! We provide consistent, loving nursery staff who are there every week, supported by an amazing rotation of church volunteers who are eager to love on your children!
Elementary Aged Children
Sunday School: 9:30 -10:30
Sunday School meets from 9:30 - 10:30 upstairs in our church house in the room adjacent to the Adult Sunday School classroom. Led by the wonderful Bill and Susan Andrews, the kids are learning all about the scriptures through the What’s in the Bible curriculum. Join this fun, loving community of kids as they learn what it means to belong to and follow Jesus together. Parents may attend our traditional worship service or join in with one of our adult life groups during this time.

Kids Own Worship: 2nd Service – 11:15-11:45
Children in Pre-K – 2nd grade may begin worship with their families at the 11:00 a.m. contemporary service. This is a vital time for families to begin teaching children how to worship the Lord. Please encourage them to join in praying, singing, and listening along with you. Following the children's blessing, one of our Kids Own Worship leaders will be available to take the children upstairs to room #312 from approximately 11:15 -11:45 for a time of age appropriate worship, using the Biggest Storybook Bible Storybook as we read through the scriptures this year. Children will return in time to join their families for communion at the end of the service
Surviving & Thriving in "Big Church"
Children in 3rd grade and older are invited to remain with their family throughout the entire service. We believe this is an important part of teaching our kids their place in the worshiping body of Christ. Sermon notes and activity packs are available to help keep hands busy and minds free to listen and learn. In addition, here are some ways that you, their parents, can help your children survive and thrive during the worship service: Helping Your Kids Survive & Thrive in "Big Church"
