Ben Miller
Director of Music & Worship Arts
Ben Miller is an award-winning conductor, pianist, and singer from Newport News, VA. As Director of Music and Worship Arts, Ben leads the choir and praise team, teaches children’s music ensembles, and even helps out with Summer Drama Camp. He studied Music Education at Carson-Newman University. As a teaching artist, Ben has worked with SPARC, Virginia Rep, Richmond Ballet’s Minds in Motion, and many Richmond Area Schools (Collegiate, Midlothian, James River, and L.C. Byrd). From 2014 to 2019 Ben was Adjunct Faculty for Musical Theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he taught private voice lessons and conducted mainstage productions. In August 2019, Ben left VCU to start his own private voice studio (TheMillerStudio.com). Ben lives in Richmond, VA with his wife, Megan, and their border terrier, Scout. In his spare time, he collects stamps and fixes old manual typewriters. He's quite the Renaissance man, and we're blessed to have his caliber of musicality (and energy!) on our leadership team. |
