VBS Confirmation Letter
Dear Parents:

Thank you for registering your children at St. Giles Vacation Bible School! We are excited that they will be joining us this year. Our theme is Fill Me Up: Fun with Food in the Bible. We will be focusing on the many different ways that we find food in the Bible and its significance to us. We will also be having lots of cooking fun!  Dress your child in play clothes and know that they may get a little wet and messy during the day.  Preschoolers are our Junior Chefs and will enjoy their own version of the same cooking themed lessons.
Bible School begins August 1 at 8:45 a.m. Registration the first day will be at the entrance to Patterson Auditorium next to the playground. At that time we will give your child a nametag to wear each day and confirm your registration information, as well as a cell phone number. After Monday morning, you can take your child directly to their color station, marked with a flag in Patterson. You will be asked to sign the child in and out each day at their station. Pick up is at 12:00 p.m.
Vacation Bible School depends almost entirely on their volunteers to keep it going. In addition to the many teaching and leading positions we will have available, there will be other volunteer opportunities available to sign up for on the day you arrive. If you are the parent of a preschooler, we request that you volunteer one day during the week to help for an hour. We will send you more information on this as we get closer to VBS. We are also in need of snacks for the volunteers that are here each day. If you can contribute something, please sign up for this as well. It is always appreciated and welcomed!
Each morning we begin with our praise band for an exciting start to the day. You are welcome to join us as we celebrate God’s word! The morning ends with a concluding skit in the auditorium. Friday will be the final day of celebration and pick up will be at 12:00 as usual, but we will invite you and your child to pack a bag lunch stay for a picnic and an early afternoon of water play on the lawn, complete with popsicles for dessert! Bring a bathing suit and a towel, waterslides and sprinklers will be ready for play!
Many blessings to you and we can’t wait to get started!

In Christ,
