Want to build a better spiritual fitness plan for 2008? Using John Ortberg’s book, The Life You’ve Always Wanted: Spiritual Disciplines for Ordinary People, this course is full of practical information and interactive discussion about ‘real time’ discipleship successes and failures. Sessions include both large and small group discussion with an open and honest atmosphere. Become comfortable discussing and practicing some spiritual disciplines that may be new to you. Dr. Anderson shares his passion and vision for restoration and reconciliation in communities through the church of Jesus Christ. His main text for this class is his recently published writings entitled A Vision and a Plan to Build Hope for the Christ-Centered Transformation of a City or a Community. Explore what it means to be a transformational Christian leader in urban centers today.

Building Christian Community in an Individualistic Global World - A Study of Philippians
Facilitator/ teacher: Dr. Phil Graham in the Robins Room
Dr. Phil Graham, president of Perspectives, Inc., a Richmond-based organizational management consulting firm, will lead a Bible study aimed at examining ways of building and sustaining faith, hope, and love in our lives as individuals and as a community in the midst of a skeptical, cynical, and competitive culture. Phil looks forward to providing a discussion-based environment in which participants can feel free to wrestle with tough questions related to practicing ‘real time’ Christianity.
