Bob Ruthazer is a Certified Family Life Educator who began serving St. Giles as a part-time Marriage Ministries Coordinator in 2002. He is also the Executive Director of First Things First, a community non-profit "strengthening families for a better community." He grew up on Long Island, NY and graduated from SUNY Buffalo.
Prior to entering ministry, Bob served for 21 years as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in the US Navy.
Bob and his wife, Dianne, are now "empty nesters" with two grown children: Joy, who lives in Richmond, and Jonathan, who lives in San Francisco. Bob enjoys reading, walking and being at the beach with his family. He also enjoys sailing on his friend's racing yacht.
