Liz Childs is a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and East Tennessee State University, and did graduate work as a Dupont Fellow at the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Decorative Arts. Her work experience includes: Curator of Collections, Valentine Museum, Richmond; Adjunct Professor, Virginia Commonwealth University; Event Coordinator, Opening of West Wing, Virginia Museum of Fine Art; Director Marketing, Sartox; and President, Liz Childs Ad Shop, Inc., a marketing communications firm.  She has been published in The Magazine Antiques, Journal of the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, and The Victorian Society Magazine.  Her interests are perennial gardening, American decorative arts studies, and jazz.
