Prayer Ministry

"Prayer does not fit us for the greater works, prayer is the greater work." Oswald Chambers

Prayer is the greatest and best thing for God we can ever do. Here at St. Giles, God invites us all to help bring in his kingdom for all eternity through our prayers.  Jesus told us "always to pray and not lose heart."  God will most certainly "avenge his own who cry out to Him day and night."

At the end of each worship service we have pairs of people ready to pray with anyone who would come forward. You can also call in your prayer request to Sarah Marsh. She would be happy to line up some prayer ministers to pray with you.

You can also secure numerous prayer partners for whatever your need may be by filling in one of the blue cards in the pew racks and putting it in the offering plate. These requests will be emailed to the prayer chain. And, if you would like to join in receiving and praying for these requests, please contact Sheila Huddle or Keith Hill and give your email address.

Andrew Murray says:  "Though in its beginnings prayer is so simple that the feeblest child can pray, yet it is at the same time the highest and holiest work to which man can rise."
