Missions

God established the church to take the Good News into all the world!  That’s why we direct a large portion of our budget and much of our time to carrying God’s love throughout Richmond and to far off places. We also train people just like you and me to become comfortable with sharing their faith in ways that uplift both the person delivering the good news and the person receiving it.

We are involved in many Local Missions addressing physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs in the Richmond area. They all offer opportunities for us to share from our abundance. These ministries include CARITAS, First Things First, Needles Eye Ministries, CrossOver Ministry, House of New Beginnings, World Horizons, Save Our Youth, Church Hill Ministries, Pregnancy Resource Center, and The Timothy Project.

We also are engaged in a number of Global Missions.  For example, we support over a dozen missionaries working around the world. We have also adopted the Kazakh people, and have been sending teams to Kazakhstan to become familiar with the people and their customs, laying the groundwork for long-term involvement.

Whether you want to serve locally or on the other side of the globe, you’ll be able to do it with friends from St. Giles.
