Home : How We Grow : Adults : Wednesday Night Adult Program

Wednesday Nights

Wednesday nights resume beginning January 11th.  Join us for dinner at 5:45 followed by classes from 6:30-7:30.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Small Groups for Spiritual Growth

led by Gilpin Brown, Pam Brown, and Diane Ruthazer

Groups meet in classrooms upstairs

Join us for a twelve week small group experience as we study together A Good and Beautiful Life by James Bryan Smith.  This is the second book in “The Apprentice Series” in which we learn about the true and false narratives in our lives and how they match up with the narratives Jesus Himself lived by.  As we look to the truth found in scripture, we can begin to engage in a process of spiritual formation that includes specific activities aimed at making these new narratives real in our body and soul, as well as our mind.

This is not just another ‘course’.  It is a small group study which includes the practice of spiritual disciplines (soul training).  There will be homework each week as we seek to practice spiritual exercises that help us put on the character of Christ.

The Good News Partnership:

How God Enables Us to Welcome People to Faith

Taught by Keith Hill and Sarah Craven

Meets in Common Grounds

This course will examine the biblical and practical realities of sharing our faith in Richmond in 2012.  We'll look at such things as:  the "spiritual climate" of our culture, how to connect with non-believers and be a blessing to them, how to discern God's guidance for your roles and their timing, and so on.  We'll use multiple resources for this course, to be taught by Keith Hill and Sarah Craven.
